New update

Something cool happened yesterday. I was walking along on Erie street, and I decided I wanted to look through the glass to see inside a restaurant. So I did. But I miscalculated the distance between myself and the glass, so I hit my head. I thought that was funny and I laughed and said "wow...I'm like a bird" (you know how birds knock into glass panes because they can't tell that they are there?) Anyway, so after I said this, I felt something on my tongue. I stuck my tongue out...and guess what it was??!?!?!?
A FEATHER!!!!

It was definitely very cool indeed lol :D

End of new update

Today something happened that I thought I ought to mention, you know for future reference. I got my first acceptance letter. It was from Western. And just like almost all of the schools I applied to I don't really want to go there. The letter was very nice though, it began with "It is our great pleasure to offer you admittance..." Isn't that nice of them? They seem so kind...

But even with all that, I was disappointed, because in all the movies when people get accepted, they get all excited and scream and hug their parents, and hold a party...I didn't do any of that...I was just like..joy, if only McGill would be nice enough to offer me the same amount of scholarship..

Now lest you who read this entry think I'm needlessly depressed, here's a story to calm your fears. On friday, when Dema was poking people with my overhead pointer (which I didn't end up using) I started to laugh really hard, but I think the skin of my face was dry so it really hurt, so then my laugh sounded like "hahahahaaaYELP" and people heard me and started to laugh at me, and then I laughed even harder and continued to go yelp. It was an awesome english class.

After this entry Olivia shall be doing research on the name of the dude in the gross Greek statue...I will succeed!! must find his name!! hehe good times in Bio class...

oh dude...when i wrote the name of the song i was listening to, I just remembered the book I'm reading now, It's the greatest book ever, if anyone speaks french and has a lot of patience "Le tango Chinetoque" is the book for you. Honestly no other book I have ever read made me laugh out loud as much as this one, unfortunately, to laugh you need to actually understand what it says, which is quite difficult since the book is written in an invented french slang..but oh the excitement of this book is really beyond words!!! yum yum... :D :D :D :D :D :D

posting posting oh look at me post. Not much to tell. I was mean to a little girl today.
(mila is my piano teacher)

me: I don't want to go home
mila: why?
me: cuz I have to study, and I don't want to go to school tomorrow either cuz I have to write the test that I'm studying for.
mila: oh
[little 5 year-old girl walks in]
mila: Susie do you like going to school?
susie: [in a really high pitched voice] yeeeessss
olivia: oh yeah??? well you wait till you're my age!!!!! and then you will see!!!! aaaaaahhhhhhhh!!!!
susie: [pause] I will ALWAYS want to go to school! [same high pitched voice]

I had a strong urge to yell some more...but i managed to laugh, say "aaw" and leave mila's house before I did anything regretable to that little kid's mind.
She was cute, she had blond hair, but she had these evil looking eyes. Reminded me of the kids in "Village of the Damned."

Maroon 5 is good. Like really pretty good. I looked at their pics and they don't sound like they would sing music like that. but they do. Tres etrange.

Yeah I need to cut my hair. My mother told me that it is to be cut on Saturday at 10:30. This means two things
PRIMO: no sleeping in
SECUNDO: damn it I need to find a hair cut

What to do? What to do? No idea. I found some pictures but haha yeah...the only way to make it stay like that will be if i keep my head in this weird position for the rest of time. Who the heck does that? what is the alternative? wax? aaarghh

I guess it doesn't actually matter since I look badly sleep deprived for 99% of the time I am in public. hehe as my friend would say "You need a vacation sooooooo bad" I could just shave my head like someone suggested to me. That would be cool. Ah well.
I watched the Manchurian Candidate today. It was scary haha oh man so scary. Cuz Denzel Washington bit this guy on the back to take out an implant. And since I had the little subscript things on...it kept on going "mysterious music playing" This furthur hightened the suspense :). haha wow I have so much work to catch up on.. since oh man oh man Olivia does NOT want another mark like she got in data two days ago...argh *%@&^#%$%#

But really I'm not as angry as it may look like. I'm quite calm. :D

Today I made a new friend. I told him that my knees are screwed up and hurting because of ballet. He asked me why I do ballet if it hurts me. And I responded "it is becuase I like looking at my pretty reflexion in the mirror when I dance." I honestly don't know why I said that, because it is in no way true. It was pretty funny though. He laughed for a long time at that.

I also found out that my best friend has the same knee problem. Damn. Why does this always happen???

And to get back at the person that gave me that piece of information, I sort of insulted him on a rather taboo subject, but he didn't get it entirely or if he did he didn't think I did it on purpose, which is good because he would have killed me...

My dad came home with a box today. In that box there were some polyester pants, a shirt that says "Wichita State" on it, and a coat that was from some college, and alot of nurse shirts. He told me I could keep the clothes. I was excited and put them all on one on top of the other. I looked ghetto, so I tried to walk with a limp and my parents laughed at me. It was fun. :D

La vie en rose

For some strange reason, when I got home on Friday, I remembered being asked what the words "La Vie en Rose" on a bag meant. I had told the person it meant "Life in Pink," knowing it was the name of a store.

But not for a moment did I think of the fact that "La vie en rose" is actually the most famous of songs written by the most famous of french singers. Her name was Edith Piaf, she was beautiful. You should here what her rolled "r" sounded like. Oh man....

"Des yeux qui font baiser les miens,
Un rire qui se perd sur sa bouche,
Voila le portrait sans retouche
De l'homme auquel j'appartiens

Quand il me prend dans ses bras
Il me parle tout bas,
Je vois la vie en rose."

Oh man...there is really nothing to say. I am sorry Eni for not being able to think of anything to amuse you with...but there is honestly nothing to say.

[edit] David reminded me of this one:
Three days ago, I and another person that shall be left nameless (otherwise I will probably be strangled again) have come to the conclusion that Richard Gere is very sexy indeed, and that he has the same smile as Mr. McKenzie. Later that day, Mr. McKenzie thought I called him gay...

Two days ago, I saw a good Japanese film called "Ping Pong" but didn't finish watching it because I had to go home.

Yesterday, I stayed up until 1 in the morning talking on MSN with the only person still on, while choking on dried-up orange skins.

Today, I grabbed Wael's leg thinking it was a table leg.

Tomorrow, uhmm yes my awesome future telling abilities have left me for the moment... :)

Current Music: La chute - Yann Tiersen
Nothing too interesting is happening right now, but since Sue tells me that I don't post often enough, I will try to satisfy her curiosity for my private life anyway :).

I was studying for Biology and reading about all of these experiments and amazing findings that had to do with DNA, and it was really fascinating. Not only how it all works (which is actually kind of depressing, how everything about us, only depends upon the sequence of 4 bases put in a row), but also the way in which these findings were made.

There were a bunch of people all over the world, in a mad race trying to find the clue to the way life works faster than everyone else. And in the end, 3 people got the Nobel prize. Another lady (Rosalind Franklin) was supposed to get it too, but she died of cancer and it's against the rules to give the Nobel prize to someone who is dead. But all of the people including Franklin, who worked hard to form the basis upon which these Nobel prize winners based their own research got the awesome privilege of having their names written in the dust. How come they weren't just as important. It's harder to make something out of nothing (like they did) than to make something out of already established facts (like the Nobel winners).

Ah well on a lighter note, when I checked how to spell the word masochist today (I called someone that and I wasn't sure of spelling), I found the following definition:
1. The deriving of sexual gratification, or the tendency to derive sexual gratification, from being physically or emotionally abused.

2. A willingness or tendency to subject oneself to unpleasant or trying experiences.

honestly...why is number 2 not number 1? since when does masochism have to do with sex? that's not masochism it's what Marquis de Sade did to have "sadism" named after him...

And I am back!! Back from skiing trip (which was quite fun, somewhat dangerous, and I ALMOST DIED!!, really I did, involved lots of ice, forest, and trees). And back to school (which is not fun, because school sucks, and so do stupid Data tests).

When I was in Quebec, I made friends. A girl my age, and her funny little bro (some ppl know the story..hehe). Yeah so they were cool. I learned how to play billiards, or pool or however you Canadian kids want to call it. I also read a 900 and some page book in french called "Le Huit".

It was the best book I read!! EVER!! But it also caused a few problems:
1. I have serious trouble remembering how to say some words in English now
2. I have fallen in love with one of the characters...

And the fact that the Russian name Alexander, can be made into the short-form Sasha, amuses me to no end. This by the way being the name of the dude that I have fallen in love with. I wish people like him actually existed..stupid world..oh well..I'll get over it at one point.

Eni told me that I am useless in the act of finding guys on skiing trips. I must say I agree. The only guy I found there was 18, and afraid of girls. Oh man, oh man. Anyway, I had a nice vacation. I did homework, I skiied, I snowboarded, I did Data, Chem and piano, I repainted my room, and decided to stop procrastinating..and stop spending my life on MSN. And I'm not doing too bad with the last two resolutions.

Hopefully things will be good for me.

I want to go to a fortune-teller.
